Formed by Patrick Miller in San Francisco in 1979, Minimal Man cut two albums of dark industrial punk rock ("The Shroud Of" and "Safari") before Miller relocated to Europe in 1985, where he continued as a prolific creator of music and visual art, and as a collaborator with Tuxedomoon.
His four European albums are "Sex With God", "Slave Lullabyes", "Hunger Is All She Has Ever Known" and "Pure".
Miller returned to California in the 1990s, and died at home on 14 December 2003.
