Recorded August 1992 & May 1993 in real time by SA ZNA in the kitchen of a Moscow flat by six like-minded (non-professional) musicians who decided to express their collective spirit through music. Played on partly broken instruments and any objects that would produce sound the results surprised the participants and listeners.

The era of the silent movies left us with great characters and screen performances, and timeless images familiar to nearly everyone, whatever their age. The names of Charlie Chaplin, Buster Keaton, Harold Lloyd and Laurel and Hardy (who were household names long into the advent of the "talkies") and many others have become bywords for a well-loved age of film-making. The music on this album remembers that age with fondness and affection.
