Fennesz - Live @ BRG2002, Braga (02 March, 2002)

 

Christian Fennesz was, during the late 80s and early 90s, the vocalist and guitar player of the Maische project (one of the most interesting in the Austrian underground music). After its extinction and some years of inactivity there appears as solo under the name of just Fennesz. As a solo author his sound production has appeared in electronic works composed of sounds originated by guitars, exploiting the sound potentialities of the instrument and the fragmentary possibilities of the computer. This work combines the complexity of noise textures with abstract rhythmic sequences and pop references, in elyptical juxtaposition, with everything organized in a delicate harmony. He publishes regularly in the Austrian Mego Company and maintains publishing collaboration with Ritornell, Touch, Charhizma and Synaesthesia.
